Reflection:

Here’s a poem I wrote in June of 1997 about passing opportunities and not taking the time and putting forth the effort to possibly make something of those.

Reflection: Here’s a popular reflective-themed poem I wrote back in January of 1997 as a reminder to really appreciate and make the most out of the moments that happen in life – otherwise they will tend to fade and disappear.

☆°▪︎ REUNION FOR A NIGHT ▪︎°☆

Reflection: This was a popular reflective-themed poem I wrote back in November of 1996 as a sort of a commemoration to people of the past that contributed to my life and that I had wonderful times with.

☆°▪︎ GHOST CHANNELS ▪︎°☆

Reflection: Here’s a poem I wrote back in September of 1996. Much of the early-to-mid 1990s for me were characterized by a series of awkward romances that tended to go from warm, to hot, to cool fairly quickly. Sometimes it was me, sometimes it was the other party, and other times it was both. Developing a sense of trust and commitment was challenging for me throughout that period of my life.

☆°▪︎ LISA LINGERS ▪︎°☆

Reflection: Here’s a poem I wrote back in September of 1996. I used to go to TGI Fridays later in the week in the evening before going out to other places, and one of the bartenders there was named Lisa. She was very attractive and very sweet. She told me about a guy who really liked her and that she started liking back as well – although, she said it took some time to get to that point. I wrote this poem in the attempt to capture what it must have been like for the guy leading up to where they had finally gotten; something I could strongly relate to – having had similar, haunting kinds of experiences.

☆°▪︎ WATERCOLOR RAIN ▪︎°☆

Reflection: I wrote this popular reflective-themed poem in June of 1996 looking back on when I was in high school working at a gas station and some of the repeat flirtations that came my way from those a bit older than me. It was a fun time in my life and probably the best job I ever had.

☆°▪︎ A FAREWELL TO REASON ▪︎°☆

Reflection: I wrote this poem back in March of 1996 as a brief commentary regarding “progress” being made on multiple fronts but not yielding a change in overall results. Sometimes, the simplest of poems say so much.

☆°▪︎ A ROLLAWAY KISS ▪︎°☆

Reflection: Here’s a popular romantic-themed poem I wrote back in December of 1995 in reflection of my teenage and early adulthood years. It seems I was the better “wingman” than most of the friends I had during that phase of my life.

☆°▪︎ A MONUMENTAL TOAST ▪︎°☆

Reflection: Here’s a poem I wrote back in December of 1995 as a sort of a tribute and retrospective celebration of the wonderful people in my past who deeply inspired me and helped me to get to where I had gotten to in life. I was greatly appreciative, and this was one of the ways I wanted to show it.
